The Difference Between Industrial Tyres and Engineering Tyres

1. Industrial tires

Industrial tires, also known as industrial vehicle tires, mainly include pneumatic tires and solid tires. The application range of industrial tires is relatively narrow, and the use environment is relatively single. It is mostly used for small forklift tires, battery truck tires and small flatbed trailer tires in factories and warehouses.

2. Engineering tires

Unlike industrial tires, engineering tires are mostly used in the field of construction machinery, that is, our common construction machinery and some special construction machinery (large cranes, wheeled excavators, etc.). Because of the blessing of engineering tires, wheeled construction machinery has the characteristics of maneuverability, flexibility and light walking. You can check more details about construction machinery tyres.

However, construction machinery tires are not arbitrarily equipped and selected. The factors to be considered in the selection of construction machinery tires include: vehicle type, construction environment, weather, vehicle maximum load, maximum/low speed, driving distance, tire heat resistance and cutting resistance Wait. Different tires have different precautions for use. We must choose the appropriate tire according to the actual working environment of the construction vehicle.

Engineering tires are also divided into two categories according to their structure: radial tires and bias tires.

Radial tire: A pneumatic tire in which the carcass ply cords and the crown centerline are arranged at an angle of 90° or close to 90° and the carcass is tightened with a belt.

Bias tire: a pneumatic tire in which the adjacent cords of the carcass ply and buffer layer intersect and are arranged at an angle of less than 90° to the center line of the tire crown.
